I’ve been sitting here for a while questioning whether I should share these thoughts in a post - especially when I’m just sort of starting out again, I don’t want to alienate readers, but…
I know for certain I will be losing readers and followers if I say this.
I will take a lot of shit by way of name calling and other forms of pathetic, juvenile behavior.
But the thing is, authenticity.
I want to be me, and feel okay being me. That means not staying quiet when I want to scream, and not tolerating hatred in any part of my life.
I keep writing and deleting and re-writing the point of this article because I don’t think it will do enough justice to what I want to say.
So, I’ll just say it as plainly as I can:
Fuck Trump.
And if you actually voted for him AND still support him?
Go fuck yourself as well.
There is no place for you here, you are officially unwelcome, because I don’t know how to get you to care about other people.
Henceforth, we both know if you ARE a current Trump supporter, you might just be reading so you can take a stab at me later, so I guess now we also both know that if you are that person, you’re an asshole, and good day.
However, if you find yourself in the position of “I voted for Trump, oh, what have I done? Please help me learn how to fix this terrible mistake,” go read my last post here.
Being that I am committed to being as authentic as a person can be (while writing under a pseudonym), I am not going to let myself waste my time or even waste other people’s time by letting them think we are going to get along once I know what you stand for.
Usually I think people are morons if they blatantly advertise their politics when their livelihood is hinged on their personality and character, but I feel like this Trump situation is different.
We already know there are plenty of people who would refuse to do business with a liberal, pro-life, flaming gay and fabulous drag queen. 💅 Let’s not forget that when bakers refused to make a cake for a gay couple in Colorado, they took it to the Supreme Court, and they (kind of) won.
But there are just as many people who will refuse to eat at a diner that only plays Fox News or not consider having their car repaired by someone with a huge MAGA flag on a pole sticking out the back of their Ford F-150.
(Pssst Pssst: I am one of those people.)
We are free to have our own opinions, beliefs, ideas, and thoughts, but when we take action on those things in a way that could harm another person in any way, that is not okay.
With that said, I also want to put out there that I’m cool with fiscally conservative Republicans who didn’t vote for or support Trump because they had some common sense.
They looked at what Trump was doing and saw that he is gentrifying and destroying the GRAND OLD PARTY, and they don’t appreciate looking like fools.
Something tells me that when regular Republicans say they want a smaller government, they don’t necessarily mean gutting tens of thousands of employees within days and doing away with entire agencies.
It’s madness.
But here’s the thing, and you’ve likely heard it before:
Trump is doing exactly what he said he was going to do.
Now, we hear Trump voters complaining when their jobs are eliminated and lives are destroyed, yet they get so angry when we say:
“Enjoy! Because you’re getting exactly what you voted for.”
Again, we are all entitled to our own opinions, and we all have rights to express those opinions - at least for now.
A person may look at illegal immigrants like mostly criminals coming to steal American jobs, or they may look at them as mostly innocents, fleeing the threat of death in a place not safe for them.
A person may look at late-term abortion and think people and doctors are monsters if they decide to terminate, but a person might not know that they’re terminating because all of their baby’s organs are growing outside of their body and it’s incompatible with life outside the womb, which is exactly what happened to my best friend’s second child.
When she terminated that pregnancy at 22 weeks, she did it sedated and still walked out sobbing, traumatized and heartbroken, but she knew that this was better than carrying that baby to term, delivering her, and watching her impossible body die in her arms within minutes.
A person may believe that all gay people are sinners on their path to hell because that’s what their religion taught them to believe, but a person who doesn’t believe they’re hellbound doesn’t have to conform to make you comfortable.
And that is where I draw the line with people and their “beliefs”.
I know it’s not only Christian conviction that leads people to abuse and oppress others because they don’t believe those people should or shouldn’t be living in a certain way.
You can be hateful no matter what your religion is, and some people are hateful just because their parents, friends, teachers, and neighbors passed on their ignorance to yet another generation.
Regardless, actions we’ve seen make it clear that some people don’t want to see or accept those who are “different”, and they’d rather not see some people live at all if they don’t live in a way a person finds acceptable.
So, let’s forget about being fiscally conservative.
Let’s forget about draining the swamp and decimating the federal government’s workforce.
Let’s forget about the national debt, let’s forget about pulling out of peace and climate treaties.
Let’s forget about Trump’s 30+ felony convictions, his fraud, his lies, his sexual abuse, his disregard for decency and humanity, and yes, even his fucking hair.
When it all shakes out, this is what we have to remember:
We have a president who will put immigrants onto planes and send them to horrific foreign countries - and we’ve already seen a massive fuck up there already.
We have a president who built a Supreme Court that overturned Roe v. Wade, and feels fine about “leaving it up to the states” to decide whether a 12-year-old girl who was raped by her father has to carry that baby to term and deliver it.
We have a president who has so little respect or regard for women, he is proud to brag that he can just “grab them by the pussy” because he’s famous - and we’ve all heard that evidence long enough to know it’s not generated by AI.
We have a president who is proud to cut funding and slash workers out of the government, shut down entire departments of government, and doesn’t care that this means tens of thousands of people are suddenly unemployed.
Families with children will become homeless. Seniors will lose benefits. Veterans will lose services and support.
I’ve already witnessed that at my workplace when two women I know lost their jobs last month - the women who worked for Veteran’s Services.
Now, we are seeing him cut funding for AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, gender-affirming care, abortion care, and people with disabilities.
I don’t know about you, but what this says to me is:
“We don’t like who you are and how you’re living your life, so we are going to do everything we can to tear you down and destroy you.”
Here’s the thing:
If you voted for Trump, I will default on the assumption that you did it because you were either selfish, hateful, or (I actually hope) just ignorant of the consequences of voting for him.
If you voted for him primarily because you thought you’d stay or get richer with Trump in office, fuck you.
If you voted for him because you think all immigrants should come here legally but glacially, wading their way through the paper-lined black hole of bureaucracy no matter what they're running from, fuck you.
If you voted for Trump because you’re a MAN who secretly loves RuPaul’s Drag Race and enjoy the boners you get in the gym showers, but you don’t want anyone to know or even consider that possibility, fuck you.
If you voted for Trump because you were dumb enough to actually think he would make life better for regular American families, fuck you, and stop watching Fox News.
If you voted for Trump because you think “we shouldn’t be helping other countries when we aren’t even helping our own”, fuck you, educate yourself:
The $71.9 billion in foreign aid that the government spent in fiscal 2023 works out to 1.2% of that year’s total federal outlays, which were more than $6.1 trillion. - Pew Research
If you voted for Trump because you love the spectacle of him on his bully pulpit and think it’s cool that he’s picking on the kind of people you don’t like, fuck you so much, you suck.
And for the love of all the possible gods, if you are a Trump voter who made fun of a young man with a non-verbal learning disorder showing his love and pride for his father…
Fuck you the most; you will be the ones first in line to kiss Trump’s ass in hell.
If you voted for Trump, then you and I have fundamental differences that make it virtually impossible for me to allow you to think it’s okay.
It’s not okay.
Trump is a whole package, and you can’t just pick and choose which policies of his you support.
We knew if he won he’d ruin people’s lives, democracy, and our country.
The fact that you voted for him anyway makes that not okay for me.
You can tell me your reasons for voting for him, you can tell me in defense “I thought he would make things better for me because…” but whatever your reason is won’t matter.
You’re voting for child rape victims to have babies.
Full stop.
I’m going to work now, at a food pantry that Trump wouldn’t throw a roll of paper towels at if we begged for his care and consideration.
To those who will stick around knowing that I won’t be writing about sex anymore and you’re okay with me hating Trump, have a lovely day.
To those of you who I believe to be selfish, racist, classist, misogynistic, and ignorant fools who’d rather elect a rapist and felon than a person who’d actually care about you - have the day you deserve.
And fuck you one more time as well.
Well, do tell. Since I want America to be great again instead of the 3rd world shit hole it was becoming I will just go on about my way then to let you left wing nut jobs screw each other over the best way you know how. Truthfully I hope you all Rot in Hell with all your queer bait friends.
AMEN, SISTAH!!!!
